Grants to support community action against violence

17 October, 2024

The Social Action Grant Programme is a fund from Bristol One City to support social action activities that achieves one or more of the following outcomes for preventing serious violence:

  • Build whole community resilience to incidents of serious violence
  • Increase social connections within and across communities to build cohesion
  • Grow community confidence in order to develop leadership and collective responsibility
  • Build peer to peer activity and mutual support

Social action is about people coming together to help improve their lives and solve the problems that are important in their communities. Through the commitment and skills of citizens, social action can empower communities, and complement public services.

Join the online briefing on Tues 12th Nov at 1pm to find out more about the grant, what you can apply for and how to apply. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and hear from community groups doing work in this area.
