NHS England has community grants of up to £2,500 available for voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations with projects that celebrate patient and public involvement in healthcare. This can include service user involvement, carers and citizens.

Your project must show good practice around people's involvement, with the aim of improving health services overall. Partnerships can apply, but the lead group must be a VCSE organisation.

Last year's grants were awarded to a range of VCSE projects, including Healthwatch Oxfordshire for a project highlighting the added risks of stroke and heart disease for men from black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, and Foresight North East Lincolnshire for a project helping people with learning disabilities to develop personal healthcare plans. 

Your VCSE organisation, whether a charity, community group, CIC or another model, must be fully constituted. You must be involved in the provision or commissioning of community health services in some way, such as helping patients stay involved with their own care, or reducing health inequalities. 

Applications close on Monday 23 September 2019, and decisions of grant awards will be announced in the week commencing Monday 21 October 2019.
