The Strong Foundations Grants from the building company Sir Robert McAlpine will be available to those seeking funding or support for new ideas or existing projects, with an aim to drive positive change in the local area.

To apply you will need to register on Action Funder and post the project you need funding for. Your project will automatically match with any funds you meet the criteria for (grant amount, location, focus area).

The Wessex Water Foundation Community Fund supports charitable and community-based activities or projects that meet a local need and seek to improve the lives of local people who are most in need of support. The Ocado Foundation, the charitable arm of Ocado Group will provide grants of up to £1,000 to charities, community organisations, community interest companies, academic institutions, and local authorities for community projects which focus their efforts on the following core areas: skills for the future, natural resources, and responsible sourcing. For volunteering, only applications for digital volunteering will be accepted. Applications can be made at any time until the 31st December 2023.

The Social Action Grant Programme is a fund from Bristol One City to support the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector. The aim is to support activities in priority neighbourhoods, by diverse and inclusive organisations, that address the impact of the increased cost of living. The funded work must achieve one or more of the following outcomes:

Empowering Local Communities is an Asda Foundation grant for local groups aimed at supporting a broad range of activities which contribute towards transforming communities and improving lives. Groups helping to integrate refugees arriving to the UK are welcome to apply under this grant.

The application window is 28th August – 3rd November 2023, but could close early if the budget cap is reached.

The St Monica Trust has launched the Improving Connections Fund for projects that support older people to live their best lives. Through this fund they want to specifically address connection as a persistent barrier to enabling people to live well as they age.

Applications can range from a few thousand pounds to a maximum of £30,000.

The Community Organisations cost-of-living fund is now open. This funding is for organisations that support people and communities under severe pressure because of the increased cost of living.

 

The main priority is to fund organisations supporting low-income households and individuals. You can apply for between £10,000 and £75,000.
