Bristol based independent design studio and artist collective, Garrett Creative, have just launched their ‘Design for Good’ programme in partnership with local delivery partners Voscur and City Funds.

Grants of up to £15,000 plus business support are available to social entrepreneurs that are looking to start or grow an existing social venture. The funding is being made available through the UnLtd the leading provider of support to social entrepreneurs in and around the UK. UnLtd are committed to providing 50% of their awards to Black, Asian and minority ethnic social entrepreneurs, and/or disabled social entrepreneurs. To be eligible applicants need to be aged 16 or over, living in the UK and are looking to fulfil a clear social need and demand.

What is the fund?

The Women’s Sector Resilience Fund Phase 2, is a £2.1m fund to support local networks of organi­sations working with and for women to make change to systems that cause women’s poverty in their area. It is a place-based approach to systems change that is open to networks in and around several areas including Bristol.

The West of England Combined Authority are making an initial £985,000 available to Community and Voluntary sector groups in the West of England as part of the Community Support Fund (CSF).

 

The fund will support activities targeted at the most vulnerable in our communities to progress onto existing skills and employment activity and ultimately improve economic outcomes for those most affected by the pandemic.

The Trusthouse Charitable Foundation is a grant making foundation that give grants to small and medium sized local organisations in the UK with a demonstrable track record of success working to address local issues in communities of extreme urban deprivation and deprived rural districts. Through the small grants programme the foundation provides funding of between £2,000 and £10,000 to charitable organisations with an income of less than £250,000 for projects that focus on Community Support.

Schools, community groups and non-governmental organisations within the UK can apply for grants of up to £6,000 for community-led tree-planting projects. Through the UK Community Tree Planting Programme, the International Tree Foundation aims to conserve, restore and protect the UK’s native species whilst raising communal awareness of the importance of trees and forests to both the environment and human well-being.
