Grants of up to £5,000 are available for projects that help to prevent and tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in the Avon and Somerset police force area. Charities, community groups, CICs, faith organisations, community sports clubs, and other not-for-profit organisations can apply for funding for projects that reduce crime and target people who are at higher risk of being victims or perpetrators of crime and antisocial behaviour.

The Community Boost grants programme is a one-off funding opportunity being offered by Healthier Together. The grants are intended to support local communities to set up their own activities or projects that will benefit people experiencing or at risk of poor health – whether that is due to long-term health conditions, significant life events, marginalisation or discrimination, stress, lack of financial security, or being unable to access opportunities for exercise or healthy meals.

Not-for-profit organisations led by and for under-represented groups within the LGBT+ community in England can apply for a share of £465,000 in funding to help them stay well resourced, sustainable and resilient. The LGBT+ Futures: Equity Fund will award grants of up to £25,000 to intersectional organisations for projects that prioritise: D/deaf and/or Disabled LGBT+ People; LBT+ Women; LGBT+ People from Black, Asian and Minoritised Ethnicities and LGBT+ People of Colour; Older LGBT+ People; and Trans and Non-Binary People.

Small registered charities can apply for grants of up to £15,000 for projects working with young offenders; prisoners and ex-prisoners as well as young disadvantaged people at risk of criminal involvement. To be eligible for funding, local organisations such as those working in a village, estate or small town should normally have an income of less than £100,000. Those working across the UK or in larger cities should normally have an income of not more than £250,000. Grants are usually given for one year.

Grants of up to £25,000 are available to improve the capacity and sustainability of sight loss sector organisations to implement new and innovative services focusing on education, employment and engagement which increase independence and improve the lives of blind and partially sighted people. The funding is made available by the Thomas Pocklington Trust and can be used to support costs such as new staff posts, paid training, professional fees, printing, marketing, website design, and capital items such as computers. The deadline for applications is the 5th February 2023.

Grants of £1,000 are available to support people of colour in the UK to develop and deliver a wide range of creative and cultural projects. The funding is made available by the Grand Plan, which awards ten grants every two months to support projects for which £1,000 would make a huge difference, ranging from poetry, paintings, fashion, zines, music, food, flowers, and photographs to workshops or events. It can be used to cover costs such as equipment, courses, time, materials or travel – anything needed to create and deliver a new cultural project.

The Blagrave Trust's Listening Fund is seeking applications from youth-focused charities and not-for-profit organisations in England who are working to support young people aged 10-30 who have experienced injustice into positions of leadership. The funding is being made available through the Advisers’ Fund, which will award grants of up to £40,000 for two years to allow organisations to create leadership opportunities which enable disadvantaged young people to shape their own strategies, support services and systems.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available to grassroots and volunteer-led charities, community groups, CICs and social enterprises working with intergenerational activities and/or community regeneration that benefit the health and wellbeing of older people across the UK. The funding is made available through the McCarthy Stone Foundation - Small Grants Programme to support older people facing isolation, loneliness, or poor health; young people who may be falling behind personally and academically; and communities in need of regeneration.

GambleAware, the leading charity working to keep people safe from gambling harm, has launched two major funding programmes to focus on enabling people to sustain their recovery from gambling harm and to help communities who have been most affected by the cost-of-living crisis. A total of £3 million is available. The Aftercare Funding Programme and the Community Resilience Fund will help further GambleAware’s work across Great Britain in supporting those most at risk of gambling harms and reducing health inequalities in the most disadvantaged communities.

The School for Social Entrepreneurs has announced that its Community Business Trade Up programme is open. The programme is open to community businesses in England that exists to improve their local neighbourhood, village or town and who want to start or build their income from trading and sales, and become more sustainable. The programme will provide businesses with mentoring support and a Match Trading grant worth up to £5,000 which is designed to challenge them to grow their income by matching ‘pound-for-pound’ an increase in income from trading.
