Power to Change is hosting a two-day virtual festival to celebrate community businesses. 

The festival will feature examples of community businesses from across England, from sports groups and gardening groups to sustainable fashion organisations, and even running a community pub.

What is this meeting about?

Re-opening after lockdown is throwing up all kinds of issues for smaller community centres. This lunchtime get-together is a chance to share ideas and work-arounds with people from other small centres, pick up tips and info.

Since you helped to shape Bristol’s successful Local Access Programme bid to make our social economy more inclusive, the world has changed. But the argument for social enterprise as part of your income diversity remains strong.

The Windmill Pub, in Windmill Hill, which has been for sale since March 2019, may be turned into flats if a buyer cannot be found by March 2020. However, there is a possibility that local people could take on the pub as a Community Asset.

This public meeting, open to everyone, will discuss the options available to the pub, led by local residents who have organised the campaign to save it. 

The meeting is an opportunity to share your views and hear more about the options for Community Asset funding.
