New workshop to reflect on innovative approaches to delivering Adult Social Care  

Adult Social Care is experiencing an unprecedented crisis. During the pandemic, community organisations have proven the sector’s importance and contribution to the challenges faced by the care system. 

The impact of the Covid-19 and the challenges of population care needs, diminishing budget and workforce instability have made the problem seem almost intractable but the VCSE sector in Bristol has a vital role to play in revitalising the care sector by moving resources into early intervention and offering quality outcomes for the service users.  

To help bring care providers and VCSE organisations together, Voscur, Locality, Black South West Network and Bristol City Council would like you to share your intelligence and experience to inform more effective joint working at an online workshop on <INSERT DATE>. The session will reflect on two recent pioneering initiatives led by the Council’s Adult Social Care team (Make it Local and Make it Work). We will also offer the opportunity for VCSE colleagues and adult social care practitioners to consider new approaches to the delivery of effective people-centered and equitable Adult Social Care services across the city. 

The free workshop is open to all interested parties including VCSE colleagues already working in social care, those seeking to enter the field, as well as specialist public sector adult social care and commissioning and procurement specialists.
