CCBED is a Bristol based social enterprise organisation that provides a supported route into enterprise and employment for individuals aged 19 years and over. We are innovative and impactful organisation focussed on empowering individuals to achieve their aspirations and realise their economic potential, regardless of their background or experience. 

We regularly run in person ESOL conversation courses from the St Pauls Learning Centre, and we are looking for an individual to support our tutor as an ESOL classroom assistant. This is an incredibly rewarding role as you will be working directly with our adult learners to support them in their conversation class, therefore we are looking for someone who speaks English confidently and can communicate with learners who have different levels of English. Classroom experience is preferred but not essential and we welcome applications from all backgrounds.  

Our ESOL classes take place throughout the year on Mondays & Fridays at 10am- 12pm at the St Pauls Learning Centre and we are looking for someone who has availability during these times.  

The Role:  

- Supporting the ESOL conversation class tutor with all aspects of delivery in the classroom, working directly with adult learners to support their development

- In some instances supporting outside of the classroom with administrative tasks, i.e printing and photocopying, liaising with the office, supporting learners with travel applications 

Ideally you will have: 

- Experience of working in a classroom setting with adult learners 

- Experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds and with different levels of English 

- An understanding of and commitment to promoting equality and diversity  

- Strong verbal and written English skills are essential for this role
