Mindline is an emotional support helpline open Wednesday to Sunday evenings from 7- 11 pm. We are recruiting new volunteers now!

Our volunteers receive high-quality training in non-judgmental active listening and provide compassionate support to callers from the local area.

We are an inclusive, friendly, values-led team. Many of our volunteers have their own experience of mental health challenges and many go on to further training in counselling and psychotherapy.

Volunteers get full training over a period of 6 weeks, and then work on a rota basis undertaking approximately one shift every fortnight, answering calls from 7pm to 11pm.

  • regular supervision and support
  • the opportunity to develop your skills and build your knowledge

 What we expect from you

  • work a four-hour shift approximately every fortnight
  • receive supervision for each shift on the helpline
  • attend quarterly volunteer meetings
