Volunteer at Independent People
Independent People supports 16 to 25 year olds who have faced or are facing homelessness in the South West. We house and support young people to build independent lives.
All our Volunteers are looked after as part of the VIP scheme. Our aim is to make sure everyone gets something out of your volunteering experience; you, us and the people we support.
Education, Employment and Training (EET) Information Volunteer – 1 day a week (or equivalent)
The role:
Our EET Coaches specialise in supporting young people age 16-25 into employment, education and training opportunities. In addition to finding the right opportunities, becoming ready for work also means working on confidence, self-worth and life-skills.
The EET Information Volunteer will support the EET Coaches in promoting employment, educational and training opportunities to young people by creating regular, engaging and informative communication in the form of digital bulletins, group emails and text messages.
This is an opportunity for a creative individual who has experience or interest in presenting information in an engaging way and has a desire to help inspire young people to get into education, employment or training.
The Volunteer will be working closely with the EET Coaches and supervised by an EET Coach.
