The Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR) has launched its latest briefing paper on the challenges faced by the VCSE during the COVID-19 crisis.
The report, titled ‘Getting Ready for the Fallout’ is the third that the organisation has released since the COVID-19 crisis began.
It shares the experiences of 37 charities between the 9 and 16 of April 2020 and reflects upon the questions and opportunities for funders that they raise.

The report finds that VCSE leaders are feeling unsettled due to uncertainty over the length of lockdown and what will happen afterwards.
It also finds that many leaders are beginning to feel exhausted from the current situation and are fearful over long-term impacts such as changes in public attitudes and policy, as well as the potential for an economic recession.
