Architectural plan for residential development at former Blake Centre, Lockleaze, Bristol

A new residential development is being proposed on the site of the former Blake Centre in Lockleaze, with a mixture of Extra Care Housing for older people with care needs, and housing for younger people.

The consultation period has now begun, with public feedback from the consultation being fed into the outline planning application in March 2021, which will give more information such as the proposed use and height of buildings.

Small grants of up to £5,000 are available to charities and not-for-profit organisations with projects related to repairing, maintaining, improving or building homes and community buildings.

The money is offered by The Screwfix Foundation, established in 2013, and applications are reviewed every quarter (February, May, August and November).

Bristol City Council has submitted a planning application for a residential development on land bounded by Bonnington Walk, Landseer Avenue and a nearby railway line.

Bristol City Council is consulting on draft policies and development allocations for its Local Plan.

The Local Plan includes policies for deciding planning applications in Bristol.

The review will update existing policies and guide development in the city over the next twenty years, with the aim of building a better Bristol.

The consultation runs until 24 May 2019 and the council is seeking comments on:
