IAPT partnership event with AWP and Second Step
Advertorial contributed by Second Step
Community support organisations in Bristol are invited to a partnership event with AWP (Avon & Wiltshire Partnership Mental Health Trust) and Second Step, who have formed a partnership to bid for the current CCG tender for the IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) service in Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire. This partnership already delivers key elements of the IAPT services in Bristol and neighbouring authorities.
The AWP and Second Step partnership looks to build relationships with relevant organisations in the area to create pathways that support people to the best outcomes.
This upcoming event will discuss the potential for the new service to deliver improved function and outcomes in terms of service capacity, innovation, impact, effectiveness, health inequality, geographic variation, unmet need and so on.
Essentially, the new partnership service will be designed as a holistic assessment of people’s psychological and social needs. The assessment process will guide people to a range of services and support, and it will also provide therapeutic input.
The partnership will look beyond a signposting model, to create reciprocal arrangements that create value and positive outcomes for people who need some level of support in their lives.
